Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you” or “User”) and [Legal Entity / Company Name], operator of ResumeTailorGuru (“we”, “us”, “our” or the “Service”), and govern your use of resumetailorguru.com and all related products, features and services.

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or clicking to accept these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.

• “Service” means the ResumeTailorGuru website, applications, AI resume-tailoring features and all related functionality.
• “Account” means the account you create to access the Service, including via third-party sign-in.
• “Credits” means the units consumed to perform AI resume-tailoring or related operations within the Service.
• “User Content” means any content you submit, upload or generate, including resumes, CVs, personal details and job descriptions.
• “AI Output”means content generated by the Service’s artificial-intelligence features in response to your inputs.

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

ResumeTailorGuru provides AI-assisted tools that analyse a resume or CV against a job description and produce a tailored version, formatting and related suggestions. The Service is provided to assist you; it does not guarantee any particular outcome, including interviews, job offers, employment, or compatibility with any specific applicant-tracking system.

We may add, modify, suspend or remove features at any time, and we may impose or change usage limits. We strive for high availability but do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

Certain features require an Account. You may register or sign in using third-party authentication (for example, Google). When you do, you authorise us to access and store certain profile information as described in our Privacy Policy.

• You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it updated.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your Account or any other breach of security.
• You may not share, sell, transfer or licence your Account to any third party.

The Service operates on a credit-based model. New Accounts may receive a limited number of free Credits. Additional Credits and plans may be purchased as described on our Pricing page.

• Consumption. Credits are consumed when you use paid features. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to display your remaining balance.
• Pricing & taxes. Prices are shown at the point of purchase and may change prospectively. You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties or fees not collected by us.
• Payment processing.Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store full payment-card details. Your purchase is also subject to the processor’s terms.
• Authorisation. By purchasing, you authorise us and our processor to charge the applicable amount to your selected payment method.
• Expiry. Unless stated otherwise at the point of sale, Credits are tied to your Account and may be subject to expiry or forfeiture if your Account is terminated for breach of these Terms.

Purchases of Credits and plans are digital goods delivered immediately. Refund eligibility, exclusions and the process for requesting a refund are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in that policy limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

You agree that you will not, and will not permit anyone to:

• use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or harmful purpose, including misrepresenting your qualifications, experience or identity;
• submit content that infringes the intellectual-property, privacy or other rights of any third party, or that contains another person’s personal data without a lawful basis;
• upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems, or interfere with or disrupt its integrity or performance;
• scrape, crawl, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code or underlying models of the Service, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law;
• resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service or AI Output beyond your own personal or internal use without our written permission;
• use automated means to access the Service, circumvent usage limits or Credit consumption, or abuse free allowances; or
• use the Service to develop or train a competing product, model or service.

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access without liability.

You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of the content you submit, including ensuring you have the right to share any personal data it contains.

You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, display and adapt your User Content solely to operate, provide, secure and improve the Service and to deliver the features you request (including transmitting it to the third-party AI providers described below). This licence ends when your User Content is deleted, except for backups retained for a limited period or as required by law. We do not claim ownership of your User Content or AI Output.

The Service uses artificial intelligence, including third-party large language models. You understand and agree that:

• AI Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or otherwise unsuitable, and may not reflect your actual experience or qualifications;
• you are responsible for reviewing, verifying and editing all AI Output before relying on it or submitting it to any employer — you must not submit any statement that is false or misleading;
• similar Output may be generated for other users, and we make no representation that Output is unique; and
• the Service does not provide career, legal, financial or professional advice, and is not a substitute for your own judgment.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks and all underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

No rights are granted except as expressly set out in these Terms. You may not use our name, trademarks or branding without our prior written consent. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use it without restriction or compensation.

The Service relies on and integrates with third parties, including authentication providers (e.g. Google), payment processors, hosting and infrastructure providers, and AI/model providers. Your use of those integrations may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, content or practices of third parties, and links to third-party resources do not constitute our endorsement.

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your information as described there, including the transfer of your User Content to AI providers for the purpose of generating Output.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all AI Output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that any result — including job applications, interviews or employment — will be achieved through use of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will ResumeTailorGuru, its operators, affiliates, officers, employees or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, employment opportunities or business, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless ResumeTailorGuru and its operators, affiliates and personnel from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law; or (d) your violation of the rights of any third party.

You may stop using the Service and delete your Account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, to comply with law, to protect the Service or other users, or if providing the Service to you becomes impractical.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those on User Content licences, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law — will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Changes take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your Country / State], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any non-waivable rights you have under the laws of your country of residence, you agree that the courts located in [Your Country / State] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally in good faith. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arises, to the extent permitted by law.

• Entire agreement.These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
• Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
• Notices. We may provide notices to you via the Service or the email associated with your Account.
